"Beautiful place to stay amongst gorgeous sprawling gardens, in rural Collie. Wanda the host and her husband have thought of everything to make your stay feel like home. Roaring fire, perfect breakfast, friendly dog and horses. Definitely make an excuse to come back soon."
"Such a beautiful, tranquil, cozy get-away. We stayed in the cottage, which was perfect - cute, well stocked, everything you could need. The breakfast was excellent - lots of options with raisin toast, bread, eggs, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, juice, and coffee. The grounds are beautiful, too.
HIGHLY recommend!"
"We've stayed in some of the best hotels in Perth and they are great but none of them offer that rustic charm and cosy feel that you get when staying at Whispering Pines. We had a great time exploring the gardens, seeing the horses, the newly hatched chicks, a stroll down to the jetty.
The evening spent in front of the log fire drinking red wine playing Uno with the kids was bliss. This time we had the family area bedrooms which had 1 queen and 1 twin both ensuite which were clean and tidy and well supplied with towels and shower gel. It would be remiss not to mention Wandas home baking. This time we were treated to a home made chocolate cake which was moist and delicious and (GF).
Thank you Wanda and John for another lovely stay. We'll be back in the Spring"
"If you want somewhere to sit back and watch the world go by this is the place how relaxing - peacocks, chooks horses, orange blossom and all wrapped up with the care and thoughtful bits and pieces from Wanda and John - wonderful"
"At a busy time I wanted somewhere peaceful where I could be left alone and be able to make my own cup of tea and sleep well rather than drive home tired. This was perfect. Woken by birds. Could chat or not if I wished. Lovely garden with birds and animals. Perfect. Thanks"
"We went just to rest and relax away from the busy city life. We sure got it. It was so quiet, so relaxing and well hidden among the sprawling gardens. We chose the treetop room with the balcony views. It was cosy, romantic, clean and neat and with so many knick knacks everywhere. We were so pleasantly surprised to get so many extras from the tasty homemade cakes, biscuits, the extra toiletries, the bathrobes. Ideal location for a romantic stay and there is also a seperate self contained cottage to stay in.The location is about 2kms from Collie centre but was well worth it if you want to get away and just be surrounded by nature."
"If you are after a secluded get away for peace and relaxation then look no further. Set in amongst acarage with chickens, horses, peacocks and plenty more. We had the treetop room with large windows looking straight out into the treetops and the most comfy 4 poster bed.
Hosts Wanda and John were very welcoming and Wandas home baking is a delight.
There's a small walk through the grounds down to the river that has a private pool with a jetty. This was absolute bliss and was a lovely spot to relax and cool off."
"A magic sanctuary. A huge thank you for healing time and time spent relaxing. The dogs are great."
"A lovely warm and homely place to stay. Thanks again for assisting us in our Bibbulmun Track walk. The drop-off was appreciated."
